Thankful

Since yesterday morning, I have been preaching to myself all the things for which I am thankful right now.

I am thankful for little smiles from our Blaise, thankful for friends to spend time with, and friends who come with dinner then stay and eat and talk.  I am thankful for time alone with my children.  And thankful to be figuring out a routine.  I am thankful all four napped today.

Recently I have been most thankful that my parents spent the last month with us.  They left yesterday.  When my mom texted me today to let me know they were almost home, she mentioned it was their 41st time to cross the ocean.  America to Asia.  And I was thankful.  My parents have spent themselves investing in the lives of others for the glory of God alone, which today glimmers bits of hope and joy amidst the grief.
