Counting Down the Days

I had what should be my last doctor's appointment yesterday. It was bittersweet. I love my doctors and the nurses who have taken care of us through this pregnancy. It will be different not going to see them so often. My doctor thought I should make it till Tuesday, but was quick to tell me she was on call this weekend and as she walked out the door she said, "Maybe I'll see you then!"
.
Everyone has been taking care of me like crazy. Shane and my parents are doing all they can do so I can rest and spend time with Silas. Today my dad got all the swings, bouncies, and carseats ready to go. So here is what I'll be pushing around soon...

...
Late this morning we found a package at our door from the Hayes! Seriously, I was not ready for all the sweetness that Katie packed inside, including Lieren's first tutu! Thank you so much Tom, Katie and Hudson...we love you, too!

.
Then this afternoon another package came from my sister. I had been wanting little shirts with all our kids' names on them. Tara found these and had them sent to us. I'm so excited for them all to wear them. The babies' onesies say "Two peas in a pod". Thank you, Tara! Just seeing those names on the shirts made the reality of twins come to life all over again...

.
A few days ago I also got a package from my cousin Missy. She is so crafty and creative; she made this blanket out of pieces from some blankets she already had. Thank you, Missy, for taking so much time to bless us. I just love it and will love knowing that Lieren is wrapped in family love whenever she uses it...
.
I'm thinking about packing a hospital bag tomorrow. I know, I'm crazy for not already having one packed. : )

Brittany - Prayers for you in these last few days before your precious babies arrive. Reading your blog has reminded me what a sweet friend you were all those years ago (too many to count!), and has also been an encouragement to me. I am excited for you and your family as you anticipate meeting Simeon and Lieren.

Blessings
