The babes are sleeping right here this morning after a good feeding time. Shane is still resting after two long nights in the hospital. And I am enjoying the quiet moment..
Lieren was born 5 pounds, 9 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long. She was born first at 6:32. I only had to push about 4 times till she slipped right out into the world! I could not believe how quickly she came. Lieren hasn't had any issues at all since birth. She feels like a tiny little thing when you hold her, and while she is the older of the two, she is definitely more petite than her brother. (and ps, when I said "natural delivery" in the previous post, don't think I didn't get an epidural as quick as possible!)

Simeon was born 6 pounds, 4 ounces and 19 inches long. He was born six minutes later at 6:38. He was breech so came into the world feet first. Poor baby's ankles and feet are bruised from being pulled out! But he is a trooper and is recovering well. The doctors watched his breathing for the first day or so but he is not showing any signs of difficulty now. Thank you for praying that we would have two healthy babies to take home with us. The Lord has answered!

Silas has been up to see us each day. He met his brother and sister, helped mommy hold Simeon, commented on their hats, and kissed them goodbye yesterday. I miss him so much, but know that he probably decided he has gone on vacation! He's been out for pizza, Chick-fil-a, McDonalds, and ice cream. He's gotten new toys, and went to Bass Pro. Having so many grandparents in one place is like a dream come true!

Today is a milestone in the Drury home...it is our 10th anniversary. I'm looking over at Shane right now and thinking that this is not where I ever imagined we would spend this special day. And yet, I wouldn't have it any other way. Let others head to white sandy beaches...we'll sleep in a hospital bed and a pull-out couch. I cannot imagine more love than we feel right here in this room. Our God has been good and we would not change one little piece of His plan.

Brittany, I am praising the Lord for your new little babies! I know this was a long day coming and I'm so thankful everything went so well and they are beautiful and healthy! They are so precious! Oh Brittany. This brings tears to my eyes. I still remember meeting you at MAC... and listening to your heartbreaking testimony about your struggle to have children. I'm so thankful to have watched God work in your life!
