Puppy Socks

This was our attempt to see if we could keep their paws clean when they go outside. It was a failure - the socks just slipped off after a short period of time...but it was very cute!

Auggie in Socks

He didn't seem to mind wearing them. He wore them around the house for a while.

Puppy Destruction

Here is a good look at the newest, and worst, puppy chewing at our house. There was a tiny spot that was starting to get worn, and we believe that Auggie just couldn't take it anymore. It is chewed pretty well beyond repair. We then put our old love seat in the living room (had been in the study) and he proceeded to chew that. I repaired the old one, which remains in the living room. This one now has a black sheet over the seat and looks pretty good. Usable, anyway. It is still in the study, but we will probably switch them back soon. Poor Auggie now spends his time when we're not home in the kennel in our bedroom. We look forward to him growing up!!

But aren't they cute?

E's Wedding

Murph, E, Shane, and Chuck after rehearsing for E's wedding.

At the Reception

Mandy and E with us. We just love them and are so happy for them!

Girlfriends

Me with Kelly Sirotak and Karry Burson, both expecting little ones this fall. We always have such great conversations when we're together. Kelly and I decided that we definitely need to live closer to one another sometime in our lifetimes.

Friend's Sweet Baby

Fryman (with Ava) and Shane. Isn't she precious? When we visited them in the spring, she was already trying to talk to me.

More Friends

Closing out the reception with Susan and her husband, Scott. We had fun talking about new puppies. Susan has been a great friend through the years.

Six Years!

We cannot believe how quickly six years has gone by. It was great to get to celebrate in such a cool place. This is where our dinner actually started, with the Arch behind us. Then we rotated around to where the stadium is, and back. And as Shane plans on every anniversary, this was something I had never done!

Up in the Millenium

This was the view from dinner at the rotating restaurant in the Millenium Hotel. You can see the new Cardinals stadium behind me.

What a Surprise!

I didn't know what we were going to see until we turned the corner and saw "Phantom" on the marquis. This theatre is old and historic. It was just thrilling. And, of course, the show was incredible.

After the Show

What a great memory we will always have of this anniversary. We didn't take pictures of our hotel, but it was very cool as well. Once again, Shane did good!

I did it!

So this is how freedom feels!

Graduate Friends

Alisa and I - we talked a lot this week about how we couldn't believe the day was finally going to come when we would not be returning to the Professional Building!

Reception Girls

Twelve of us graduates who attended the reception. Notice the big smiles!

Reception

Myself with Mrs. Pike (clinical supervisor), Dr. Wood (professor and advisor), and Mrs. Cron (clinical supervisor) at our department reception.

In Cap, Gown and Hood

This was after graduation had ended and we were just about the only ones left in the gym. The hood is yellow for Master of Science with the maroon colors of Missouri State.

My other half

Me with Shane, who was just as much a part of this journey as I. You can't really see his sutured eye in this photo.

Our Class

The proud and relieved class of 2006. I am sure that we are all looking forward to a few weeks of rest after the exhausting two years in graduate school that we have had. I am grateful that we all had each other to lean on now and then!

Family

It was wonderful to have family come to share the moment with me.

Judy and Lee

Judy and Lee also came to be with us at graduation. Don't they look cute in their matching outfits?

Family at the Party

Here is the family that was able to come to the party. You can see that Shane had my picture on the TVs. You can't see all the other decorations he put up, but there were things hanging from the ceiling and a banner over the buffet.

Cousins

How special to have family that loves being together.

Sweet Girls

A few of my girls from Bible study came with their moms to celebrate. Being with them every other week has been one of my greatest joys in the past year. They are growing to love the Lord more and more!

Spiritual Puppy

Auggie wanted to help me with my
devotions the other day.
What a sweetie!

Luther and Augustine

Our sweet boys ... a big one and a little one.
