Our babies turned one week old today. I can honestly say I have loved every minute since their arrival. Even in the twilight hours, my heart is more full than I could have ever imagined.
.
We went to our pediatrician for quick weight checks this afternoon. Both babies are gaining weight well. I am sure I have not thanked the Lord enough for how gracious He has been to us. Our babies both came home from the hospital needing no special care and they continue to be healthy. It is what we always prayed for and more.
.
This afternoon we decided we wanted to get out of the house so since it was a gorgeous, cool afternoon, we 5 headed to the park. It was perfect and so fun to be together as a family. Here is our family deciding we needed to do something...
Simeon and Lieren all buckled up and ready to go...
Silas helping push his little brother and sister into the park...
.
I soon took over...
.
Daddy and Silas played and played and played...
.
They even practiced for Silas' future in baseball; batting and running the bases...
While the rest of us watched or napped...
I soon took over...
Daddy and Silas played and played and played...
They even practiced for Silas' future in baseball; batting and running the bases...
Silas was extremely worn out and dirty at the end, if you can't tell. Running the bases turned into writing letters in the dirt and then "I fall down" in the dirt. As my dad said, it's what boys do!
Thanks for continuing to pray for us as we learn how to do life well in this season. It is good. Not always easy, but very, very good.
