We Had a Bash

The schools around here start next week. So that means many of our little friends will be starting new schedules.  While Silas doesn't start back to preschool for a few more weeks, I decided we needed to have an end-of-summer bash.  We had some of our good friends over and spent about 5 hours playing, snacking, lunching, and enjoying the little bonds our kids have.  The kids all played great today and everyone had someone their same age and gender, which made for lots of happy little friends.

Times are about to change for our play dates...some kids start kindergarten, one family will start homeschooling, Silas will be in preschool 4 days a week, some mommies work, and the coordinating of schedules will just get harder. So I was thankful for today when we could all be together.

And then here's what is happening right now as I write...

So much fun and no naps make for a sleepy boy in the late afternoon!

The Museum Day

And when I say "Day", I mean day!

Tara is here to visit so she and I decided to take the kids to a children's museum nearby.  We have talked about going off and on for ever but just never did it.  Well.  Yesterday we finally went and boy, was it a hit! The kids got excited right as we walked in and 6 HOURS LATER they were worn out but still loving every minute, sad to leave and asking to come back the next day.  It was such fun.  Blaise napped for a short while in his stroller but really hung in with the others most of the time.  Then as we left, we walked around outside for a bit and randomly met a couple ladies walking their bunnies.  Weird.  But what a delight when you are 3 years old and a girl.  That being said, while I could comment on every single picture, I am going to take note that it is later on a Saturday evening and I know bedtime is calling.  So instead, I will let the (many) pictures speak for themselves...
