TEN Months

Yesterday was May 2nd. Silas turned 10 months old. Everyone in town was celebrating. The rich and famous flew in from all over. There were fireworks displays and parades. Parties till all hours of the night. They even ran a horse race. What? The other way around? Perhaps. You may be right. Silas' 10 month birthday may have fallen on the day of the biggest race of the year or they may have planned the race back in July when he was born. We'll never know.

Truth be told, the first Saturday in May is quite a day in Louisville. Around here, all you have to say is Derby and people start buzzing.

We spent the day with several friends from church...youth, their parents, youth workers. It turned out to be a cool and cloudy day; the rain held off so we all played out doors.

Our camera is starting to be a little funny so these are the only pictures that are worth sharing from the day...

Sweet toddler boy. Still loves that thumb but will take a paci anytime it's offered. When he sucks his thumb it reminds me that he's still so like a baby.
